An established industry player is seeking dedicated Support, Time & Recovery workers to join their innovative Integrated Non-Custodial Services team. This role is pivotal in providing essential post-custody support, ensuring individuals with complex health needs receive the care they deserve. You will assess needs, develop collaborative care plans, and work closely with various agencies to facilitate smooth transitions to community-based services. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and thrive in a supportive, inclusive environment, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Support, Time & Recovery workers (ST&R) are required as part of the exciting new Integrated Non-Custodial Services (INCS) contract, which has been awarded to DPT for the next seven years starting in April 2025.
The INCS contract integrates Criminal Justice, Liaison & Diversion, Reconnect, and the Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTRs) to deliver comprehensive care and support for individuals, addressing their healthcare needs and offending behavior from custody diversion to community reintegration.
Reconnect provides post-custody support aimed at improving continuity of care for individuals with health needs, including mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse, physical health, neurodivergent needs, and other psychosocial vulnerabilities. It supports their transition to community-based services through liaison, advocacy, signposting, and support.
We are seeking 2 x ST&R workers, one to work in Cornwall and another to cover North Devon. Your role will involve supporting offenders upon release, assessing their needs in prison, and collaboratively developing a care plan. Support can extend up to 6 months post-release, depending on individual needs.
Close multi-agency collaboration is essential, involving prison teams, health services, substance misuse services, community healthcare providers, probation, and housing organizations.
We provide mental health, learning disability, and neurodiversity services, along with specialized & secure services across the south west and nationally. We are passionate about promoting mental health & wellbeing, utilizing our expertise and partnerships to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused services.
We prioritize coproduction, involving patients, families, and carers in all aspects of our work.
Our values
We recruit based on qualifications & experience, as well as behaviors that reflect our core values—commitment to quality care, respect, dignity, compassion, and a positive attitude. We believe in creating a supportive, inclusive environment and welcome applications from all community sections, including those with lived experience of mental health conditions, neurodiversity, or learning disabilities. We are a Disability Confident Leader.
