Job summary

Practice Plus Group is recruiting a Support Time & Recovery Worker to join the Liaison & Diversion team in South Yorkshire. You will work across custody settings and collaborate with police, probation, courts and health services to support access to health needs and promote safe, offender-focused care.

The role covers weekday and weekend shifts on a 7am–7pm basis, with full-time hours, a commitment to learning and professional development, and a legal right to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with service users face to face with health needs.
  • Mental Health and/or Recovery support service experience.
  • Excellent communication and ability to gain appropriate level of consent.
  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety.
  • Motivated as an individual and when working in a team.
  • Patient-centered values and ability to promote service user involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of an extended Liaison & Diversion team.
  • Liaise with police, probation, courts and health and social care services.
  • Support daily activities for children and adults, including hard-to-reach communities.
  • Support access to identified health needs, including mental health, substance misuse, homelessness, and social care issues.

Hours

Monday - Sunday

  • Weekdays between 7am - 7pm
  • Weekends between 7am - 3pm
Salary

This position is full time and you will receive a salary of £29,264 to £33,510 depending on experience

Location

Doncaster custody suite

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing
  • Be part of an extended team working across Liaison & Diversion service
  • Liaise with a wide range of services such as the police, probation, courts and legal services as well as both inpatient and community health and social care services
  • Be involved in the daily support of children and adults, including those from hard-to-reach communities to engage and navigate through the Criminal Justice System
  • Support access to the full scope of identified health needs, including substance misuse (alcohol and drugs), mental and physical health, homelessness, learning disabilities, exploitation, safeguarding and social care issues
