We are seeking to recruit a Band 4 Support Time & Recovery Worker within the Gloucestershire Criminal Justice Liaison & Diversion Service, based at the Montpellier Unit at Wotton Lawn in Gloucester. This is an exciting opportunity to join our long established team covering all areas of the Criminal Justice Services in Gloucestershire.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to support the team and develop the service to meet the Specification laid out by NHS England.
The service runs a 7 day embedded service in Police Custody, as well as to a busy Magistrates Court. The post holder will support prisoners being released into the local community from prisons located in England under the NHS England RECONNECT Strategy.
You will help develop links with other agencies both public sector and independent in ensuring the clients seen receive the best possible service.
Support Time & Recovery Workers are a key part of the Liaison and Diversion process. Their role is to engage with clients and in doing so, build a trusting relationship to improve engagement and to gain an understanding of their health and social care needs.
