We value input from all staff members, ensuring meaningful outcomes through the commitment to our core values.
Join us in making a real difference and embark on a fulfilling journey at Sense Scotland.
At Sense Scotland, we recognise that night-time support is just as important as the care provided during the day. Our Waking Night Support Team at our Coatbridge service plays a key role in making sure the people we support feel safe, comfortable, and respected throughout the night.
This service is based in a shared house where we support two men in their late 50s to early 60s. One of the men is blind, and both have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and diagnoses of autism and epilepsy. They also have complex communication needs and require consistent support with their health conditions and personal care routines.
A structured approach is essential in helping them maintain a positive night-time routine and get the rest they need for their wellbeing. This is a settled, consistent service where building trusting relationships and maintaining routine are key.
As a Waking Night Support Practitioner, you’ll be a calming presence through the night, helping the people we support feel safe, comfortable, and cared for ensuring they can rest peacefully and wake feeling refreshed.
This is a lone working role, however you won’t be unsupported: another waking night colleague is based in the house next door, and an on-call system is in place if you need emergency support or advice.
