Job description

Looking for a job where you can make a real difference every day? Do you have a caring nature, a great sense of fun and a passion for supporting others? You could be just the person we’re looking for! Our lovely #TeamNLStrathclyde in Airdrie are looking for a female Support Practitioner to join their team on a permanent, part-time (24 hours per week) basis supporting a lady to live independently, stay connected with her community and enjoy the things that make her happy.

Every day is different, and you’ll play an important part in making sure she can continue doing the things she loves. From getting out and about in the local community, to getting creative with arts and crafts, cooking healthy and nutritious meals, or enjoying some well-deserved self-care with trips to get her hair and nails done — there’s always something to look forward to!

This role is about more than providing support. It’s about building a genuine connection, encouraging independence and helping someone enjoy a happy, fulfilling life.

If you’re someone who is kind, reliable, patient and enjoys making a positive difference, we’d love to hear from you!

About you

You don’t need previous care experience — we care more about who you are and the values you bring. Full training and support will be provided, including a funded SVQ qualification.

  • Kind, caring and compassionate
  • Patient, positive and reliable
  • A good communicator with a sense of humour
  • Creative and willing to try new things
  • Comfortable using a computer

Due to the lady we support having her own mobility car, we would need you to have a full manual UK driving licence.

The hours

Typically shifts will be 9am-7.30pm, 7 days a week. Weekends and public holidays are shared on a rotational basis.

This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to make a real difference while doing something meaningful.

  • Funded qualifications & ongoing career development
  • SSSC registration and PVG fees paid
  • Up to £500 towards driving lessons
  • No uniform - wear your own clothes
  • Employee discounts, including shopping, cinema, holidays & gyms
  • 24/7 employee support
  • Long-service awards & colleague referral bonuses
