Looking for a part-time job where you can genuinely make a difference to someone’s life? If you're friendly, reliable, positive and enjoy helping others, we could have just the opportunity for you!
Our brilliant community support team in Cumbernauld are looking for new team members to join them on a permanent part-time basis (16-30 hours per week).
You’ll be joining a fantastic team of people who support individuals across the Cumbernauld area to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local communities, living their lives the way they choose. You’ll build a genuine relationship with each of the individuals and be part of moments that really matter; whether it's providing support to cook a meal, achieve a goal, try something new or just feel understood.
It’s about much more than providing support - it’s about getting to know the person, understanding what matters to them and helping them achieve their goals and enjoy life.
Due to the people we support having their own mobility cars, we would need you to have a full manual UK drivers licence. Some of the individuals enjoy going swimming so you would need to be happy to support them in the water.
No experience? No problem! We'll train you, pay you and support you every step of the way. You'll even gain funded, recognised qualifications as you work.
Our team provides tailored support with shifts typically falling between the hours of 8am and 10pm 7 days a week. Weekends, public holidays and sleepovers will form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
Sleepovers don’t form part of your contract hours, for these shifts you would receive an additional payment of £134.50.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
