Job summary

Ark seeks a part-time Support Practitioner in Dunfermline to support individuals with learning disabilities and autism. The role offers 30 hours per week with a pay structure starting at the Real Living Wage and progression after probation, with a pro rata annual salary up to £27,960.08.

Shifts vary from 3 to 16 hours across seven days; driving is not essential. Training is provided, and benefits include annual leave options, a pension, cycle to work, and funded PVG & SSSC registration.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care roles or related fields is advantageous but not required; full training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Work with colleagues to support vulnerable people in a team.

  • Update and maintain accurate records using a tablet on Ark's Information Management system.

Part Time 30 hours per week - Female Only**

Earn up to £27,960.08 per year pro rata

At Ark, all Support Practitioners are paid at least the Real Living Wage, currently £13.45 per hour (£27,350.04 pro rata).

After successfully completing your probation period, your hourly rate increases to £13.75 (£27,960.08 pro rata).

The Ark service in Dunfermline supports 13 people with learning disabilities and autism. The support we offer differs from person to person which means being a Support Practitioner offers lots of variety. Some people are supported to live independently in their own homes while others stay with their families. Everyone is supported to say what they want their support to be like and what they’d like to achieve.

Shifts are varied and can be from 3 – 16 hours over 7 days a week. Dunfermline has great public transport links so being able to drive is not essential to work with us.

Your main duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.

  • Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.

  • Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.

  • Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Arks Information Management system.
