Job summary

Cornerstone in Blairgowrie is seeking relief Support Practitioners to join our Perth, Kinross and Blairgowrie teams. You will provide compassionate care, support daily activities, and help individuals achieve goals, while building trusting relationships.

We offer full paid training, with no experience required, and flexible shift patterns including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and sleepovers. You will be part of a collaborative culture and encouraged to grow with the role.

The Role

As a relief colleague, you will play an important part in our team, ensuring that we still provide the best care and support possible during times of staff training, holidays and absence.

You'll build genuine relationships with individuals with learning and/or physical disabilities and be part of moments that actually matter; whether it's providing support to cook a meal, achieve a goal, try something new, or just feel understood.

Shift Patterns

We're dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support possible, so shift patterns for our services involve early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, public holidays and sleepovers.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
