Job summary

Cornerstone in Perth is looking for a part-time Support Practitioner to help adults with disabilities live the lives to the fullest. The role is 16 hours per week, permanent, and no prior experience is required as full training is provided.

You'll join a friendly team, supporting people with daily activities, group outings, meals, and hobbies, while building meaningful relationships and contributing to a positive everyday experience.

Qualifications

  • You don't need previous experience, but demonstrate kindness and a caring approach.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Confidence using computers and basic digital tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support adults in Perth with disabilities to live their lives to the fullest.
  • Assist with daily activities, cooking meals, and trying new activities.
  • Join outings and events such as football, swimming, boccia, and day trips.
  • Build meaningful relationships and support individuals to reach goals.

Shift patterns

Because everyone we support is unique, your shifts will be too:

  • Shifts between 0800-2000 hours Monday - Friday
  • 1000-1930 hours (weekends)

And occasionally:

  • Later shifts for activities, concerts and shows
  • Sleepovers to support holidays and trips away

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment withus.

Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
