Job summary

Compassionate Care Group Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Urmston, Trafford (Manchester) to assist adults in supported living with Mental Health, Autism and learning disabilities. Join a team focused on dignity, autonomy and meaningful daily activities.

You will work nights (4 on 4 off, 8pm-11pm, sleep period covered) and day shifts, with training and progression opportunities in a rewarding role that makes a real difference in clients' lives.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Mental Health, Autism or Learning Disabilities is not essential as training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Develop clients life skills and personal interests.
  • Support clients with medication and ensure they achieve their goals.

Working hours:

Nights - 4 on 4 off 8pm-11pm (£12.90 per hour)supporting client 11pm-7amyou sleep (£50), and7am-8pm supporting client (£12.90 per hour)

Support Worker Role

You will provide support and companionship to a range of adults living in our supported living across -Urmston, Trafford (Manchester)

Compassionate Care Group has a varied client base, each individual requiring different help and support with Mental Health, Autism and learning difficulties. You will be offering a supportive ear and a calm presence whilst still bringing an element of fun into their daily activities and needs.

You will be promoting independence with all our clients and enabling them to live an independent and fulfilling lifestyle. You must be self-motivated, and ensure the quality of support provided is consistent with current legislation.

This is a fast paced yet highly rewarding position. You will need to think on your feet, be reliable and punctual, as the people you support will be relying on you to help them live their best lives!

  • Arranging social activities in the home and in the local communityPromoting the independence of every client we support
The Ideal Candidate
  • Use previous experience and/or existing transferable skills to promote independent living for all our clients
  • May have experience with Mental Health, Autism or Learning Disabilities in a work setting or from personal experience (this isn’t essential as we provide all the training!)
  • Have a natural sense of empathy and good common sense
  • Will have an easy-going personality and are understanding of others who may display behaviour that can present challenges
  • Have great organisational skills and ability to think outside the box
  • May be a driver with access to your own vehicle, although this is not essential
  • Are punctual, reliable and have the ability to think quickly and effectively
