Job summary

The Clancy Group is seeking a permanent Support Driver/Barrier Person to assist site teams in Hartlepool. The role involves safe operation of vehicle and plant machinery, setting up and closing work sites, delivering signs and barriers, and supporting the team with fittings and letter drops.

Candidates should have a full UK driving licence with towing ability and be comfortable with outdoor, manual work in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with towing ability.
• Comfortable with manual work and outdoors in all weather.
• CSCS Card and abrasive wheels qualification are beneficial but not essential.
• NRSWA Units 1 and 2 preferable.
• Good sense of direction; capable of working alone when needed.
• Proficient IT use on mobile devices for site updates.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of vehicle and plant machinery.
• Assist site teams across Hartlepool, setting up/closing sites, delivering signs & barriers, running fittings, and letter drops.
• Maintain a safe working environment and verify site safety before and after works.
• Minimise disruption to local residents.
