Job summary

The Clancy Group is seeking permanent Support Drivers to join our South East Water contract, supporting site teams with safe operation of vehicles and plant machinery. Based in Hazards Green, you will work on highway projects and private sites, helping to set up sites and assist with deliveries and signage.

You will need a full UK driving licence with trailer towing ability and NRSWA Units 1 and 2. The job is physically demanding, outdoors in all weather, and requires the ability to work alone

The Role:

Clancy are looking to recruit permanent Support Drivers on our South East Water contract to assist site teams with the safe operation of vehicle and plant machinery.

You will be responsible for undertaking a range of maintenance activities supporting our operational repair & maintenance crews carrying out work.

Here are just some of the activities you’ll be involved in:

• Ensure the safe operation of vehicle & plant machinery
• Assist teams carrying out works in the highway and on private property and premises across the Horsham area, helping to set up site and close, delivering signs & barriers, running out fittings to the team and letter drops
• Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring sites are safe prior to start and following completion of work
• Minimise disruption to residents

What do you need?

You will need a full UK driving licence and must be able to tow a trailer. Holding NRSWA (Streetworks) Units 1 and 2 is also essential for this role.

The work is physically demanding, so you must be comfortable with manual work and being outdoors in all weather conditions.

A good sense of direction is important, and you should be confident working alone when required.

You must also be comfortable using IT, including mobile phones and tablets, to manage job information and site updates.

A Blue Card and an abrasive wheels qualification would be beneficial but are not essential. Any previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
