A leading care provider seeks compassionate Support Workers in Greater Manchester to provide person-centered care within the Tameside Extra Care services. The positions require flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, along with a commitment to personal and professional development opportunities, including a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
We are seeking two warm, compassionate, and proactive individuals to take a lead in providing person-centered care and support to our service users.
The Tameside Extra Care services comprise four sites across the Tameside borough, with a role available at our Dukinfield service. The scheme includes one-bedroom and two-bedroom self-contained flats, with some individuals receiving a care service. Needs may include dementia, mental health, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and complex health needs.
You will assist the Extra Care Manager and Registered Manager in ensuring an empowering service that meets our clients' needs and collaborates with service users' families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere. You must be flexible, energetic, and reliable.
Creative Support is committed to your ongoing professional development. Successful candidates will receive a full local and corporate induction and attain a Level 3 certificate in 'Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care'. After your probationary period, you will be enrolled in the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. You will have opportunities to discuss your training and development during supervision and appraisal meetings.
You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role, including supporting with personal care and domestic tasks, and helping individuals access work, education, and social activities. We value your personal skills and interests, such as sports, outdoor pursuits, creative arts, music, and cooking, and how they can enhance the lives of those we support.
The role requires flexible working on a roster basis, including evenings and weekends. A minimum of two years' experience is essential for this role.
