Job summary

St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a dedicated Support Assistant Level 3 to join our school community. This role is 25 hours per week, term time only plus one training day, on a fixed-term contract to 31 August 2027 with a start ASAP.

You will support all pupils, including those with SEND, within a nurturing Catholic ethos and help deliver the primary curriculum while contributing to pupils’ personal development.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting pupils with additional needs (SEND).
• Ability to contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Good working knowledge of the primary curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Support all pupils in day-to-day learning and activities.
• Provide targeted assistance to pupils with SEND during class and sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement lessons and monitor progress.
• Assist in creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
