Job summary

St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Support Assistant Level 3 to join our dedicated team. The role is 25 hours per week, term time only plus one training day, on a 1-year fixed term contract, ASAP until 31 August 2027.

Salary is £26,403 per annum pro rata, actual £15,006 per annum. The successful candidate will support pupils, including those with SEND, uphold our Catholic ethos, and contribute to high standards of learning and care.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a practising Catholic or willing to support the Catholic ethos.
• Experience in supporting SEND pupils.
• Good working knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Hard-working, positive attitude to school life.

Responsibilities

• Support all pupils in the classroom and for individual needs.
• Contribute to maintaining a high standard of teaching and care.
• Support inclusion and provide assistance for pupils with additional needs.
