North Yorkshire Centre for Independent Living is looking for a caring Support Assistant to help a visually impaired gentleman live independently in Scarborough. You must have your own vehicle and a full, clean UK driving licence, and be comfortable with the accompanying guide dog in the car.
The role is up to 8 hours per week on a rota system, with holiday allowance and travel expenses covered. An enhanced DBS check is essential, and the employer supports Disability Confident schemes.

We are looking for a caring and considerate person to support a visually impaired gentleman to live his life as independently as possible. The Support assistant must have their own vehicle and a full, clean UK driving licence. Please note: that the gentleman has a guide dog who will accompany him, therefore, the successful applicants must be OK with the assistance dog travelling in their car.
The post is for up to 8 hours per week based on a rota system and can be fairly flexible. Holiday allowance and travel expenses covered.
Extra hours may be available to cover holidays and sickness of other staff.

The rate of pay is £16.29 per hour plus mileage allowance.
