Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Swadlincote, Newhall, Woodville and surrounding DE11 area. Roles range across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with day-to-day, short-term and longer-term placements.

We offer weekly PAYE pay, immediate November starts, and options for full-time, part-time or flexible work to fit your commitments. You will contribute to a positive learning environment across local schools.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a UK primary school or similar setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Help pupils stay engaged and focused on learning.
• Support positive behaviour in the classroom.

Swadlincote, Newhall, Woodville & Surrounding Areas (DE11)

£450-£500 per week | PAYE | Paid weekly

Connex Education is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Swadlincote, Newhall, Woodville and the wider DE11 area.

With schools now back following the October half term, we are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who are available to start work immediately or throughout November, supporting local primary schools for the remainder of the autumn term and beyond.

Whether you are looking for five days a week, a few regular days, or flexible supply work around other commitments, we would like to hear from you.

Opportunities are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including day-to-day cover, short-term assignments and longer-term placements.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and school staff to help pupils get the most from their school day.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Helping pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning.
• Supporting positive behaviour within the classroom.
• Working with pupils who may require additional learning or behavioural support.
• Helping create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Confidence supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
• Good communication skills and a patient, professional approach.
• A reliable and flexible attitude.
• The ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and school environments.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

You must have the right to work in the UK to apply.
