Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants for primary schools in Gateshead. The role offers flexible day-to-day cover with a minimum commitment of three days per week, starting in September. You will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, ensuring continuity of learning in a range of classrooms.

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (minimum commitment of 3 days per week)

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming primary schools across Gateshead to recruit Supply Teaching Assistants for emergency day-to-day cover starting in September. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants who thrive in different school environments and are looking for flexible work while maintaining a minimum commitment of three days per week.

You'll have the opportunity to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing valuable classroom support at short notice and helping schools maintain high-quality learning during staff absences.

Supply Teaching Assistant - Essential Criteria

• Recent experience working with primary-aged children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach to work.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments and routines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• A relevant degree or Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
• Availability to work a minimum of three days per week.
• Must live locally to Gateshead no relocation.
