Connex Education Partnership is seeking Supply Teaching Assistants for day-to-day cover in Sheffield. You will support teachers with learning activities and provide one-to-one or small-group support across primary ages, enjoying variety and flexible working patterns.

We welcome candidates who can adapt to different schools, promote inclusive learning environments, and help pupils thrive. DBS and compliance checks apply; immediate start subject to checks.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working with children aged 4–11 in a UK setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Confidence supporting classroom learning, routines and positive behaviour.
• Adaptable and proactive, able to move between different school settings.
• Organised approach to assisting teachers and delivering activities.

Supply Teaching Assistant

Location: Sheffield | Pay: £80–£100 per day| Contract: Day-to-day supply, 1–5 days per week

Connex Education is working with primary schools across Sheffield to appoint flexible Supply Teaching Assistants for day-to-day cover starting ASAP. This is a great opportunity if you enjoy variety, want control over your working pattern, and are confident supporting primary-aged pupils in different classroom settings.

About the Role / Setting

You will support teachers with general classroom assistance, one-to-one support and small-group work, depending on the needs of each school. Our partner primary schools value teamwork, consistency and inclusive learning environments where children feel supported and encouraged to thrive. You will help maintain routines, promote positive behaviour and build strong relationships with pupils and staff. This role is well suited to someone adaptable, proactive and comfortable moving between different school settings.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children aged 4–11, ideally in a UK primary school setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Confidence supporting classroom learning, routines and positive behaviour.
• An understanding of the primary curriculum and primary-aged learners.
• Knowledge of phonics and Read Write Inc. is desirable.
• A flexible, organised and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
• Right to Work in the UK, plus an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
