Job summary

Choice Teachers in Milton Keynes is recruiting qualified secondary supply teachers to provide flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements across KS3-KS5. You control your schedule, choose days, and work with leading academies to support learning.

We seek UK QTS or QTLS holders with strong classroom presence, DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one, and a readiness to cover diverse subjects with engaging, well-planned lessons.

Qualifications

• UK QTS or QTLS status required.
• Strong understanding of KS3/KS4 GCSE frameworks.
• Effective classroom management and leadership of secondary students.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 where applicable) according to provided plans.
• Establish a structured learning environment and apply consistent behavior management strategies in line with each school's policy.
• Engage students in learning while ensuring classroom safety and productivity.
• Leave clear, professional feedback for permanent department staff detailing completed work and student progress.
• Adapt quickly to diverse secondary environments and subject areas.

Job description

• Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
• Position Type: Flexible Day-to-Day Supply, Short-Term, & Long-Term Subject Placements
• Key Stages: Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4), and Key Stage 5 (KS5 / Sixth Form)
• Pay Rate: Paid to Scale (M1 to UPS3 equivalent - £174.71 to £270.95 per day based on experience, aligned with national teacher pay scales)
• Start Date: Immediate / Flexible start dates available
