If so, GSL Education are pleased to offer Supply Teacher positions covering a variety of schools in Havant. This role offers a competitive daily rate ranging from £120 to £150, dependent on experience, with an immediate start available. You will take charge of classrooms in the absence of regular teachers, managing behaviour and ensuring students engage with and complete the set work. Flexible working options allow you to select days that suit you, with up to five days per week available. Additionally, temporary long-term placements are offered to cover extended absences such as long-term sickness, operation cover, or staffing shortages.

To be a Supply Teacher, your responsibilities will be:

• Lead and supervise classes according to the lesson plans left by the regular teacher
• Maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment
• Assist students with completing tasks and encourage engagement
• Adapt to various subjects and year groups as required
• Communicate effectively with school staff about student progress and any incidents
• Adhere strictly to school policies and safeguarding procedures
• Motivate students to participate actively throughout the school day

Requirements:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Experience in working as a Supply Teacher is desirable
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments and teaching needs
• Professional and clear communication skills
• Have an updated CV and enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply
