Supply Teacher – Fareham, Hampshire

GSL Education invites applications for Supply Teachers to cover a range of schools in Fareham. This role offers a competitive daily rate between £120 and £150 based on your experience, with an immediate start available. In this position, you will be responsible for managing classrooms during the absence of regular teachers, maintaining order, and ensuring students complete the lessons and tasks provided. You will have the flexibility to select the days you wish to work, with options for up to five days per week. Additionally, we provide long-term temporary placements to cover extended teacher absences such as long-term sickness, operational needs, or staffing gaps.

Your Responsibilities as a Supply Teacher:

• Supervise and lead classes according to the lesson plans left by the regular teacher
• Maintain a positive learning environment by effectively managing student behaviour
• Support students in completing classwork and assignments, providing assistance where needed
• Adapt to teaching different subjects and year groups as required
• Report any significant incidents, student progress, or concerns to school staff promptly
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
• Engage students and encourage productive participation throughout the school day

Supply Teacher Qualification:

• Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven skills in classroom management and student engagement
• Flexibility to work across multiple schools and adapt to different settings
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply
