Job summary

The Supply Register is recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors and qualified teachers (QTS) to provide general cover across Lewisham, London schools including Prendergast Vale, Prendergast Ladywell and Prendergast School.

These roles require confidence in managing classes and delivering pre-set work with no planning or marking. Flexible, long-term and day-to-day opportunities are available, supported by MSP partnerships with Leathersellers Federation of Schools.

Qualifications

• Experience as Cover Supervisor, supply teacher or teacher.
• Experience in UK secondary school settings.
• Ability to manage classrooms and maintain calm learning environments.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor or qualified teacher looking for your next opportunity in Lewisham, London?

The Supply Register is working in partnership with the Leathersellers Federation of Schools as their Managed Service Provider (MSP), recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors and teachers with QTS to provide general cover across their schools, including Prendergast Vale School, Prendergast Ladywell School and Prendergast School.

These are excellent opportunities for confident classroom practitioners who can step into a school environment, manage classes effectively and create a calm, focused atmosphere that allows pupils to continue learning in the absence of their usual teacher.

We re looking for Cover Supervisors and teachers who:

• Have previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor, supply teacher or teacher
• Have experience working in a UK secondary school setting
• Are confident managing classrooms and maintaining positive behaviour
• Can establish positive relationships with pupils and maintain a calm learning environment
• Are reliable, adaptable and confident working across different year groups and subjects
• Can deliver pre-set work effectively without the need for planning or marking

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor or teacher, you will:

• Supervise classes during periods of teacher absence
• Deliver pre-set lessons and learning activities
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and focused on their work
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
• Provide a consistent and positive presence within the classroom
• Support the smooth running of the school day
