Prospero Teaching are seeking reliable Primary Supply Teachers to work across welcoming primary schools in Basildon and surrounding areas. Flexible day-to-day bookings with an ASAP start.

Applicants should have Primary teaching experience, QTS, and hold a Right to Work in the UK. An enhanced DBS (Update Service) or willingness to apply is required, plus two professional child-related references.

Supply Teacher – Basildon – ASAP Start. Prospero Teaching are seeking reliable and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a variety of welcoming primary schools in Basildon and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers who enjoy flexibility, variety, and the chance to support different school communities on a day‑to‑day basis.

Ideal Candidate

Schools are looking for confident practitioners with strong behaviour management skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with pupils across the primary age range.

Contract Details

• Location: Basildon and surrounding areas
• Position: Primary Supply Teacher
• Type of work: Supply teaching
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: Day‑to‑day bookings
• Contract type: Temporary
• Hours: 8:15am - 4:00pm (full day)
• Minimum rate of pay: Minimum £125 per day for qualified teachers
• Full time/part‑time: Both

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Primary teaching experience
• Qualified Teacher Status
• Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)
• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
• Provide two professional child‑related references
