Responsibilities as a Religious Studies Teacher:

1. Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable).
2. Foster understanding of world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical thought.
3. Create a positive, respectful classroom environment encouraging critical thinking and reflection.
4. Adapt to different school settings, following pre-prepared lesson plans or creating your own as required.
5. Maintain high standards of behaviour and support students’ academic progress.

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching Religious Studies (experience with Philosophy or Ethics is desirable).
• Is passionate about fostering students' understanding of different religions and worldviews.
• Is flexible, adaptable, and confident in managing diverse classrooms.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
