STADA UK Thornton & Ross – Supply Chain Planner

Huddersfield |U.K.| Full-time | Permanent

As a Supply Planner, you are responsible for management of the inventory in line with the commercial plan. To ensure availability of product to successfully execute the Demand Plan for the UK business to ensure our commercial opportunities are realised and service level targets are achieved.

You will be responsible for production planning, working with internal or external manufacturers, planning & procurement teams to enable correct & on time production. You will work closely with the Supply planning manager to manage risk to service & reduce supply chain costs. As a key pillar of the Integrated Business Planning Process, ensuring the supply plan is accurate and reconcilable versus business objectives. Your focus will be on monitoring performance to assess efficiency & effectiveness of supply chain operations, resolving problems when they arise and mitigating risk.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Inventory Management: Ensuring that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet demand without overstocking.
  • Production Planning: Coordinating with production teams to schedule manufacturing activities based on demand forecasts.
  • Supplier Coordination: Working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components needed for production.
  • Capacity planning: Working with internal & external suppliers to maximise opportunities & reduce constraints.
  • Sales & Operations Planning process: To contribute to the UK S&OP process by feeding in key Supply and NPD information and actions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders including procurement, marketing, production, and finance to align inventory actions with commercial goals. Establish effective working relationships with the Global Supply Chain Planning and be an active member of the community to support standardisation across the STADA SC network.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and deliver against supply chain KPIs and provide regular reporting.

What We Are Looking For

  • A solid foundation of supply chain planning and\or demand management experience ideally in the FMCG and\or pharmaceutical sectors. This is an ideal opportunity for a Demand or Supply Specialist that wants to broaden their skills to gain more rounded knowledge in an end-to-end Supply Chain role.
  • Experience of SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills and able to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external third-party suppliers, acting as the interface between commercial and in-house supply, ensuring collaboration around demand and supply, balancing service, inventory health and operational efficiency
  • Understanding of Sales & Operations Planning or Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Good analytical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage your own workload, adhering to project timelines and perform critical thinking to overcome the challenges of the transition project.
