The Opportunity

An established international consumer healthcare business is seeking a Supply Planner to join its growing supply chain team. This is a high-profile role offering exposure across a global supply network and significant scope for development beyond traditional supply planning responsibilities.

Working closely with manufacturing partners, commercial teams and senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in balancing supply and demand, driving service levels, optimising inventory and supporting the end-to-end S&OP process. The role has the potential to expand into broader global planning and supply chain leadership responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
  • Manage end-to-end supply planning activities across a network of external manufacturing partners.
  • Ensure product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Monitor stock ageing and shelf-life to minimise obsolescence and write-offs.
  • Manage replenishment planning and execute MRP activities.
  • Build strong relationships with contract manufacturing partners.
  • Secure production capacity and manage supplier lead times.
  • Drive supplier performance through KPI reviews and service-level monitoring.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply network.
  • Lead supply planning reviews within the S&OP cycle.
  • Validate demand assumptions and assess risks, opportunities and product lifecycle changes.
  • Support capacity planning and rough-cut capacity planning activities.
  • Develop short, medium and long-term supply plans to meet business requirements.
Systems & Data Management
  • Maintain planning parameters including lead times, safety stock and ordering policies.
  • Ensure planning master data remains accurate and fit for purpose.
  • Utilise ERP and advanced planning systems to support decision-making and supply visibility.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience within Supply Planning, Production Planning or MRP environments.
  • Background in FMCG, Consumer Health, Pharmaceutical or similarly fast-paced sectors.
  • Strong track record of inventory optimisation while maintaining high service levels.
  • Experience managing supply through third-party manufacturing networks.
Highly Desirable
  • Strong S&OP experience from a supply planning perspective.
  • APICS, CSCP, CIPS or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Strong Excel and analytical capability.
  • Experience using advanced planning systems.
  • Enhanced pension
  • Generous annual leave allowance
  • Additional wellbeing and volunteering days
  • Enhanced family leave policies

Why Apply?

This is more than a traditional Supply Planner position. The business is investing heavily in its planning capability and is looking for someone who can take ownership, influence stakeholders and help shape the future of the function. With exposure to a complex international supply network and genuine progression opportunities, this role offers an excellent platform for an ambitious planning professional seeking broader supply chain responsibility.
