Job summary

Cummins is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to support the Leeds site. The role focuses on supplier performance, inventory optimisation, and daily operational planning across a global network.

The contract role requires a degree in supply chain or related field, strong planning/analytics background, and experience with CI methodologies to drive continuous improvement. The position offers hybrid working with minimum 3 days onsite in Leeds.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong background in planning, analytics, and supplier performance management.
• Experience managing Class 1 & 2 supplier escalations and driving CI activity prior to escalation.
• Understanding of TCO, network exception management, and inbound materials tracking.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Performance Management — Manage a diverse global supplier base, driving Class 1 & 2 escalations and continuous improvement activity.
• Service Level & Inventory Management — Maintain and improve customer service levels while managing inventory targets and balancing supply/demand.
• Daily Operational Planning — Oversee critical daily supply chain processes, identifying and eliminating potential failures before they impact operations.
• Preventative Supply Chain Practices — Champion proactive planning to reduce expediting and prevent continuity issues.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Work with data teams, integrators, and operational stakeholders to optimise planning parameters and resolve network exceptions.
