Job Description

We are working with a global manufacturing business based in North Manchester that is looking to expand its Demand Planning team. This is an exciting opportunity for a planner with a passion for FMCG to take ownership of key planning processes and play a pivotal role in ensuring product availability, optimizing stock levels, and supporting business growth.

The Role:

1. Continuously reviews the Sales/Production forecast of a defined portfolio of a country or group of countries in short, mid, and long term, in both quantity and value.
2. Places orders from production sites, suppliers, and co-packers, and follows up on deliveries to fulfill the sales/production plan in terms of timing and quantities.
3. Communicates, manages, and resolves actual and potential supply issues.
4. Develops and manages demand and supply plans across the product portfolio.
5. Maintains optimal stock levels to balance product availability and inventory costs.
6. Identifies supply chain risks and drives proactive resolution strategies.
7. Collaborates closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial teams.
8. Maintains and periodically reviews planning master data in SAP and IPB to implement appropriate forecasting models, replenishment, and stock strategies.
9. Responsible for achieving agreed SFD, stock levels, and CSL, and monitors ICSL and SSL for the defined portfolio.
10. Coordinates co-packing activities focusing on availability, cost savings, production scheduling, and raw material replenishment.
11. Ensures sales forecast inputs from other departments are timely and accurate (promotions, launches, delisting).
12. Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance, including process improvements, new SCM solutions, and support for central tenders.

Requirements:

• Professional training in business administration or a comparable field, with at least 5 years’ experience in SCM functions.
• Detail-oriented
• 2 years’ experience in Demand Planning within a consumer goods company or B2B environment is a plus
• Confidence working with forecasting and planning tools (e.g., SAP, Excel, ERP/MRP systems)
• Knowledge of IBP and BI
• Basic financial knowledge
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
