Town Planning Consultant

Location: Altrincham, UK

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to support a specialist planning consultancy seeking an enthusiastic Town Planning Consultant to join their team.

The experienced team offers a comprehensive range of planning services, guiding projects from initial concept to completion. They are proactive, collaborative, and creative, tailoring bespoke town planning strategies to deliver results.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Experience in the private sector
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple deadlines
Role Responsibilities:
  • Translate site research into written outputs with minimal supervision
  • Review planning policies and history, articulating key findings and initial strategies for discussion
  • Prepare project updates for clients with minimal input
  • Lead proactive application monitoring and manage technical/design teams for householder and minor applications
Required Capabilities:
  • Actively seek opportunities to grow professional networks with follow-up strategies
  • Manage projects with limited supervision, alerting senior staff to issues with suggested solutions
  • Conduct thorough research, interpret planning policies, and formulate strategies
  • Independently prepare small-scale planning applications with limited support
