• Monitor and adjust schedules in response to breakdowns, constraints, or changes in demand.
• Balance capacity, changeover duration, and priorities to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Liaise with site managers to confirm feasibility of planned schedules.
• Review forecasts and orders to ensure accurate production requirements.
• Maintain optimal finished goods stock levels and manage space.
• Monitor slow-moving or excess inventory and work with stakeholders to reduce obsolescence.
• Ensure production aligns with loading schedules and transport capacity.
• Raise and manage material orders to ensure availability.

Job description

On a typical day, here’s what you’ll be involved in:

• Developing and issuing daily and weekly production plans aligned to demand and capacity.


• Monitoring and adjusting production schedules in response to machine breakdowns, labour constraints, material shortages, or changes in customer demand.


• Balancing site capacity utilisation, changeover duration, and order priorities to optimise efficiency, and minimise downtime and waste.


• Liaising with site Production/Manufacturing Managers remotely to confirm feasibility of planned schedules.


• Reviewing forecasts and sales orders to ensure accurate production requirements are planned.


• Maintaining optimal stock levels of finished goods to effectively manage available space and minimise shortages.


• Monitoring slow moving and excess inventory and work with stakeholders to reduce obsolescence.


• Ensuring production aligns to agreed loading schedules and transport capacity.


• Raising and managing material orders to ensure availability.
