Job summary

Riverway Foods Ltd in Harlow is recruiting a Supply Chain Planner to join the planning team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00, with a salary of £32,000–£40,000 depending on experience.

Based in Harlow, Riverway Foods produces sausages with British pork from high welfare farms, supplying major retailers. You will support materials planning, supplier communications, and production planning activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong MS Excel knowledge and data handling skills.
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders across functions.
• Broad business awareness and understanding of production impact.

Responsibilities

• Operate planning tools and bespoke systems used by Riverway Foods.
• Manage all materials supply into the business and coordinate supplier communications.
• Produce weekly production plans and feed data into daily schedules.
• Develop medium-range demand data and align with forecasts for production.
• Proactively manage stock levels and resolve issues with relevant departments.
• Schedule daily work streams and consider shelf life, lead times and capacity.

Riverway Foods now part of CPC Group, produces quality sausages, with all our pork sourced from British high welfare farms supplying leading retailers, including Aldi and Tesco.

Are you an ambitious planning professional looking to develop your skills in an expanding organisation? Riverway Foods, based in Harlow, is recruiting for an additional Supply Chain Planner. This role will see you work within our collaborative planning department as we look to take the business to its next stage of development.

Tasks within the role will include:

• Operating a bespoke set of tools tailored to Riverway Foods’ requirements

• Managing all aspects of materials supply into the business

• Taking responsibility for all supplier communications

• Managing customer and commercial forecasts using newly developed tools to provide accurate medium-range demand data to generate weekly plans

• Actively managing data to feed into daily production plans

• Issuing daily production plans and considering medium and long-term goals

• Considering key factors including shelf life, fluctuating sales forecasts, line capacity/availability, allergens, equipment availability and ingredient lead time

• Proactively managing stocks and liaising with relevant departments to resolve issues

• Problem-solving skills and making quick decisions

• Scheduling daily work streams to provide an achievable plan

Skills and experience required:

• Ideally, experience in a food manufacturing environment with intermediate to advanced MS Excel knowledge

• Experience in a fresh food or shelf-life factory is an advantage

• Ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders

• Able to demonstrate a broad business awareness

• Full training provided to operate and maintain planning tools

• Commutable distance to Harlow
