Job summary

MacGregor Black is seeking a Supply Chain Manager based in Manchester to own end-to-end sourcing, production and logistics from international factories through UK delivery.

You will lead planning and forecasting, manage factory relationships, and take full responsibility for inbound/outbound freight and customs compliance, with Wool focus in the product mix.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations from international manufacturing bases through to UK warehousing and delivery.
• Own demand planning and forecasting across the product range, including wool as a key category.
• Liaise directly with factories on production schedules, capacity and lead times.
• Coordinate pallet-level inbound and outbound freight movements.
• Manage customs clearance and ensure import documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Identify and resolve supply chain risks before they affect delivery timelines.

How many years' experience do you have managing end-to-end supply chain or logistics operations, including sourcing from overseas manufacturers?

Do you have direct experience with customs clearance and import documentation?

Have you worked with wool, textiles, or a similar soft-goods product category?

MacGregor Black is partnering with an established UK importer and supplier of multi-product fashion and clothing on the search for a Supply Chain Manager based in Manchester.

This is a standalone, end-to-end supply chain role covering sourcing, production and logistics from international factories through to UK delivery. The business has a long-standing presence in the fashion and clothing import market, with wool among its core product categories. The successful candidate will own planning, forecasting and factory relationships, alongside full responsibility for inbound and outbound freight and customs compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations from international manufacturing bases through to UK warehousing and delivery

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chains, ideally with sourcing from the Far East or other international manufacturing regions
• Strong background in planning and forecasting within a product-led import or manufacturing business
• Hands-on experience with customs clearance and import compliance
• Confidence dealing directly with overseas factories and freight partners
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, standalone role without a large supporting team
