Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is working with an established manufacturing and distribution business to recruit an experienced Supply Chain Manager for a 9-month maternity cover contract based in Bedwas, Caerphilly. Lead end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, demand forecasting and supplier performance, ensuring stock availability while balancing cost and working capital.

• Experience in senior supply chain roles within manufacturing or distribution.
• Proven ability to lead procurement teams and improve processes.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with international suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Procurement team and end-to-end supply chain operations.
• Manage procurement, inventory, demand forecasting, supplier performance and inbound logistics.
• Develop supplier negotiation strategies to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations to refine forecasts and stock plans.
• Monitor supply chain performance and implement contingency actions as needed.
