Job summary

HSBC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Supply Chain Sustainability Manager (Governance and Human Rights) to lead the development and embedding of ESG governance across the bank's supply chain. You will drive due diligence, governance structures, and risk controls to protect the organisation.

The role requires strong knowledge of ESG regulations, actionable experience in procurement and supplier management, and the ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams with risk, compliance, and legal

Qualifications

Experience applying ESG in procurement or supply chain.
Knowledge of ESG reporting requirements (e.g. CSDDD, ISSB).
Understanding human rights and modern slavery standards.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Familiarity with financial services sustainability risks.

Responsibilities

Own and enhance ESG governance and human rights agenda in the supply chain.
Design and oversee ESG due diligence onboarding and ongoing processes.
Monitor ESG regulations and coordinate readiness and implementation.
Embed governance in risk management with escalation paths and documented decision-making.
Act as SPOC for risk, compliance, and legal on ESG matters.
Lead supplier engagement on human rights risk identification and mitigation actions.
Coordinate audit, disclosure, and assurance activities relevant to governance and due diligence.
