Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a proactive procurement specialist in the Gosport area to support day-to-day parts management, supplier negotiations and contract execution. You will work closely with UK programmes, analyze stock and demand data, and help drive cost reductions across sourcing activities.

The role requires strong communication, Excel/PowerPoint proficiency and BPSS clearance. You must be in the UK with right to work and be willing to relocate if needed.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Current legal authorization to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
• Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
• Studying towards a Business, Finance or similar degree.
• Studying towards a supply chain management related degree. Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and management of assigned parts.
• Liaise with internal and external customers regarding demand priority and criticality of UK programmes.
• Use reporting to address actions including New Buys, Excess Requests and Allocations.
• Analyse target stock levels, consumption data and condemnation rates for individual parts.
• Work in alignment with contractual KPIs and support key supplier activities.
• Develop best practice for effective contractual execution.
• Support Risk, Issue and Opportunity identification and project management for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
• Review inputs into the demand forecasting tool.
• Support UK sourcing strategy.
• Negotiate pricing and terms.
• Manage stakeholders.
• Prepare and issue contracting documentation, including RFQs, RFIs and purchase orders.
• Manage supplier and functional performance targets.
