Job Description:

Supply Chain Co-Ordinator

Salary: up to £30,000

The Recruitment Group is excited to be working with the UK & Ireland's largest Beef supply chain and processing company.

Purpose of the Role:

The Agricultural Co-Ordinator will be based at the Melton Mowbray facility in Leicestershire. Reporting to the Group Agriculture Management team, the successful candidate will have a full and varied role, including farm visits, audits, presentations to agricultural groups and customers, assisting with the delivery of Group Agricultural strategies, and supporting procurement activities as required.

This role is ideal for individuals with in-depth knowledge of Beef Farming. Working closely with the Agricultural team, you will be well-informed, equipped, and motivated to carry out your responsibilities, which include coordinating on-farm research projects and implementing animal welfare standards according to customer requirements.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Promoting efficient and environmentally responsible farming practices
  • Assisting farmers with data collection and submission for customer requirements and contracts
  • Attending industry events to enhance knowledge
  • Supporting the flow of animal health information back to farmers
  • Assisting with on-farm research management
  • Ensuring farmers understand customer requirements and expectations
Experience and knowledge requirements:
  • Educational background in an agricultural discipline is preferred
  • Experience in a farming environment
  • In-depth knowledge of beef farming activities
  • IT literacy
  • Own transport is essential
