Job summary

JTAPE Ltd is seeking an organised Supply Chain Co-Ordinator to support day-to-day procurement and supply chain operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Manchester. You will translate requirements into purchase orders, monitor stock, and keep supplier information accurate to support cost, service and working capital targets.

Responsibilities

• Raise and process purchase orders for raw materials and consumables.

Job description

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and commercially aware Supply Chain Co-Ordinator to join JTAPE Ltd and play a key role in supporting our day-to-day procurement and supply chain operations.

Working closely with our Procurement & Supply Chain Manager and teams across Production Planning, Operations, Quality, Finance and Warehouse, you’ll help ensure the materials we need are in the right place at the right time – keeping production moving while maintaining accurate inventory and supplier information.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing, supply chain or materials experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and taking ownership of getting things done.

The Role

Reporting to the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, you will translate approved material requirements into timely purchase orders, monitor stock and supplier deliveries, resolve day-to-day discrepancies, and provide accurate information to support our cost, service, continuity and working-capital objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Purchasing & Expediting – Raise and process accurate purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and consumables. Monitor open orders, obtain supplier acknowledgements, and expedite or reschedule deliveries to help maintain production continuity.
• Inventory Control – Monitor raw-material usage, investigate stock variances and support cycle counts, helping to maintain accurate ERP/MRP records and master data.
• Import & Logistics – Coordinate inbound logistics and transport requirements, including the management of international shipping, import procedures and associated documentation.
• Query Resolution – Investigate and resolve purchase order, goods receipt, and invoice discrepancies, working closely with Goods Inwards, Quality, Finance and suppliers.
• Supplier Support – Communicate confidently with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, documentation, and routine supply issues.
• Continuous Improvement – Support price comparisons, supplier onboarding, and material trials for new product development, while contributing to waste-reduction and cost-saving initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be highly organised, comfortable working with detail and able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, material control or inventory administration.
• Practical experience of international imports, shipping procedures and documentation.
• Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• A disciplined and accurate approach to data entry, stock records and administration.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret stock levels, demand, forecasts and supplier lead times.
• Good problem‑solving skills and the confidence to investigate discrepancies and see issues through to resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and colleagues across the business.
• A proactive, positive approach and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
