Job summary

Randstad Delivery (GBS) in York is seeking an Execution Specialist on a 6‑month secondment. The role is a 37‑hour week, in‑office, with an initial five days on site and then at least three days.

You will track loads, coordinate with hauliers and client stakeholders to resolve delays, and ensure every load arrives across European markets, while balancing cost and service KPIs. English fluency is essential; additional languages are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow THUB strategies to balance cost and service.
• Work with hauliers to identify viable international transport solutions.
• Identify and escalate gaps affecting KPIs (service, cost, performance).
• Be the operational point of contact for hauler enquiries and client stakeholders; communicate load status and action plans.
• Problem solve issues impacting carriers, DCs, customers, weather, etc., and drive performance improvements.

Title: Execution Specialist (6-month secondment)

Location: York

Contract duration-initial 3 month, but up to 6, potential for longer.

37 hour week

Monday-Friday, 7.30/8 to 3.30/4. Time aren't concrete but are working with Europe so slightly earlier than regular 9-5.

Salary: £14.50 per hour

In the office minimum 3 days a week; 5 days initially.

Your impact

You will perform a variety of roles that range from tracking loads, to working with carriers and clients stakeholders to find solutions to delays, dealing with the unexpected but ultimately ensuring that all European market queries are dealt with, and every load arrives. All this whilst supporting the KPI balance of cost and service.

The main aim for this role is to drive end to end Inter-Market transportation service across Clients markets and category businesses in Europe.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Following THUB strategies to support the balance of cost and service.
• Working with hauliers to find viable international transport solutions.
• Identifying and escalating gaps, that do not support the THUB strategy with carriers, to ensure key KPIs such as service, cost, and performance are met.
• Be an operational point of contact for haulier enquiries and client stakeholders, proactively communicating regarding load status and resolution action plans.
• Problem solving and identifying issues related to not meeting expected standards affecting carriers, DC's, customers, traffic, weather, etc., and work with wider team to develop effective solutions. These solutions should drive improvements in performance.

Your ingredients for success

• The ideal candidate will understand Supply Chain end to end processes and will have some experience of an operational environment, ideally transport
• You will be proactive and creative to find solutions
• You will have strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships across Europe and a problem-solving mentality
