Job description

About Welbeck Cambridge

Welbeck Cambridge is a state-of-the-art private day-case centre created to deliver exceptional healthcare in an environment designed around the needs of patients and clinicians alike. As part of the wider Welbeck Health Partners network, the centre provides diagnostics, outpatient services and day-case procedures across a range of specialties, combining clinical excellence with outstanding service.

At Welbeck, we believe healthcare should be seamless, reassuring and genuinely patient-centred. Every interaction matters, and we're committed to creating an experience that is efficient, professional and welcoming from the very first enquiry through to treatment and beyond.

As our services continue to grow, we're looking for passionate and talented people who share our ambition to raise standards and help redefine the private healthcare experience.

About The Role

As a Supplies Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clinical and operational teams have the equipment, consumables and stock they need to deliver exceptional patient care. Working closely with the Supplies Manager and departments across the centre, you'll help maintain a well‑organised, efficient and compliant supplies function that supports the smooth day‑to‑day running of the hospital.

This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for receiving deliveries, maintaining stock levels, monitoring expiry dates, supporting audits and ensuring storage areas are safe, compliant and well organised. Working within a fast‑paced healthcare environment, you'll help ensure critical supplies are always available while contributing to the high standards of quality, safety and service that patients and colleagues expect from Welbeck Cambridge.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Receiving, checking and processing deliveries of clinical consumables, equipment and general supplies.
  • Replenishing stock throughout the centre and maintaining agreed stock levels across departments.
  • Carrying out stock rotation activities using FIFO and FEFO principles to reduce waste and maintain compliance.
  • Completing regular expiry date checks and ensuring expired or damaged stock is appropriately removed and reported.
  • Supporting inventory management, stock takes and audit activities to ensure accurate stock records.
  • Maintaining clean, organised and compliant stock rooms and storage areas across the centre.
  • Working closely with clinical teams, external suppliers and internal departments to meet stock and equipment requirements.
  • Assisting with equipment tracking, product recalls and continuous improvement initiatives within the Supplies Department.
About You

You'll be organised, proactive and detail‑oriented, with experience working in a stock control, stores, logistics or supplies environment. Comfortable managing multiple priorities, you'll have excellent organisational skills and take pride in maintaining accurate records, following procedures and delivering a reliable service. You'll be confident using IT systems and able to communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments.

Most importantly, you'll be a team player who shares Welbeck's values of collaboration, ambition, kindness and empowerment. You'll enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment, take ownership of your responsibilities and be committed to maintaining the high standards of quality, safety and compliance required within a healthcare setting. Previous experience within a hospital or healthcare environment would be advantageous, but a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important.
