Job summary

Markerstudy Insurance Services Limited is seeking a skilled Supplier Relationships Manager to oversee key suppliers across the facilities and property portfolio. This is largely a remote role with a monthly Manchester office visit and occasional travel to suppliers within the UK.

You will manage risk, ensure contract adherence, analyse MI, and coordinate safety training, RAMS, and contractor governance. Strong communication and supplier management experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier relationship management.
• Knowledge of property portfolio management is advantageous.
• Background in insurance/claims is advantageous.
• Ability to analyse MI and SLA data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Oversee outsourcing partner performance and governance.
• Manage risk assessments and COSHH documentation.
• Coordinate DSE assessments and equipment provisioning.
• Monitor incidents and investigations.
• Coordinate health & safety training and first aid arrangements.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety assessments.
• Vet and manage new contractors and RAMS compliance.
• Maintain facilities interface and RAMS documentation.

Supplier Relationships Manager – Facilities/Property Portfolio

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supplier Relationships Manager to join our growing and exciting business!

This is a largely remote opportunity, but will involve going to our Manchester office ideally once a month and the occasional travel to suppliers.

Job Purpose

To oversee the management of key agreed suppliers that form part of the Supply Chain, ensuring service delivery against contracted terms, SLA’s and monthly MI and regulatory reporting. To work closely with the Head of Supply Chain in a cohesive manner to support other MISL departments in liaison of supply chain fulfilment.

To act as the key point of contact between suppliers and internal departments for all Property portfolio and other supply chain related matters.

Analyse and act on MI provided internally or from our supply chain to improve supplier performance, by issuing action plans, with timescales and required improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of Outsource Partner to ensure delivery and oversight of:
• Risk Management & Documentation
  • Preparation and review of Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments
  • Creating bespoke risk assessments upon requests (e.g. for events)
  • Development and maintenance of Health & Safety policies and procedures
• DSE (Display Screen Equipment)
  • Management of DSE assessments
  • Provision and ordering of equipment, subject to cost approval
• Incident Management
  • Accidents and incidents are monitored, recorded, and supported through investigation where required
• Training & Compliance
  • Liaison with the MSG Talent and development department to ensure annual Health & Safety training is completed
  • Arranging and booking first aid training courses
  • Coordination of First Aiders and Fire Wardens
  • Monitoring, recording and tracking al first aiders and fire wardens to ensure all sites have enough
  • Replenishing of first aid stock
• Monitoring, Audits & Assessments
  • Site inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring
  • Annual Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety assessments
• Contractor Management
  • All contractors are managed by Presence & Co. and undergo regular checks to ensure documentation remains valid
  • New contractors are subject to a vetting process and must sign an agreement before approval for use
  • Management of maintenance activities, ensuring suitable RAMS, scope of works, and permits are in place prior to work commencing
• Facilities Interface
  • The Facilities team manage the buildings, including arranging contractor visits, audits, and statutory checks (E.G fire extinguishers, servicing for fire alarms and so on..) to ensure compliance
• Systems & Communication
  • Ongoing management and updating of the Health & Safety page of the MSG intranet, ensuring all documentation and guidance is accessible
  • Provision of Health & Safety signage and general advice across sites

Essential Skills

• Supplier Relationship management experience required
• Previous Property Portfolio experience would be advantageous
• Insurance/Claims background would be advantageous
• Ability to analyse and interpret MI from both MI and internal department
• Analytical and pragmatic approach to supplier relationship management
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• The ability to work as part of a team whilst showing initiative
• Analytical approach to understanding MI, SLA’s, and service failures
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills being proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
