Job summary

Kier Infrastructure is seeking a Supplier Relationship Manager to lead our supplier engagement across nationwide remote and hybrid work arrangements. You will develop and implement our SRM framework, segment and manage strategic suppliers, and ensure delivery performance aligns with project needs.

You will build and coach the SRM team, collaborate with procurement, commercial, operations and projects, and drive ethical governance, social value and responsible sourcing outcomes.

We're looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager to join our Kier Infrastructure team based Nationwide.

Location: Nationwide, remote, hybrid working
Hours: 37.5 - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Supplier Relationship Manager, you'll be working within the Procurement and Supply Chain team.This is an exciting opportunity to lead Kier Infrastructure's Supplier Relationship Management function. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing our approach to supplier relationship management, ensuring strategic and preferred suppliers are segmented, engaged and managed according to value, risk, criticality and delivery performance. Working collaboratively with procurement, commercial, operational and project teams, you'll align supplier engagement with business needs and help us become a fair, responsive and trusted partner of choice for our supply chain.

Your day to day will include:

• Developing and implementing Kier Infrastructure's Supplier Relationship Management framework, ensuring suppliers are segmented and managed effectively
• Leading and developing the Supplier Relationship Management team, setting clear priorities and supporting coaching and performance management
• Working with procurement, commercial, operational and project teams to align supplier activity with business needs and project delivery priorities
• Leading structured engagement with strategic suppliers through relationship plans, review meetings, performance management and joint initiatives
• Promoting ethical governance, inclusive procurement, social value and responsible sourcing outcomes through supplier relationship activity

• You have demonstrable experience of leading, coaching and developing teams, with the ability to set clear priorities and maintain accountability for delivery
• You have proven experience of managing supplier relationships in a procurement, commercial or supply chain environment
• You can work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels to agree priorities, resolve issues and support clear decision-making
• You have strong commercial and risk awareness, with the ability to interpret performance data and use it to support practical decisions
• You have excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and present information clearly
