Job summary

PE Global is recruiting a Project Quality Engineer for a leading global engineering and manufacturing organisation at their Peterlee site. The role focuses on supplier quality across NPI, CPI and NSI programmes, working with Design Engineering, Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to meet quality, cost and delivery targets.

The position is based in Peterlee, County Durham, on a 12-month contract, full-time at 36.5 hours per week, with a PAYE rate of £28.43 per hour.

Qualifications

Experience in Project Management coordinating activities, milestones and budgets.
Experience in Supplier Quality within manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of supplier management processes and performance requirements.
Knowledge of APQP and PPAP methodologies is desirable.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to analyze data to support decisions.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage project plans, milestones, budgets and resources.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Production, Quality Engineering, Logistics and Procurement.
Work with buyers and suppliers to obtain quotations, contracts and supplier selection.
Support APQP projects from concept through PPAP.
Address supply risks and ensure timely project delivery.
Apply quality and continuous improvement principles across the supplier base.
