Job summary

Custom Interconnect Limited is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to deploy the quality strategy across supplier materials and components. The role covers initial supplier releases, NCR handling, supplier audits, and change management, with a focus on BOMs and subassemblies.

You will act as the primary point of contact for suppliers on product quality, coordinate data requests, and perform first article inspections while ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct involvement in quality management in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Knowledgeable regarding ISO9001 / ISO13485 / AS 9100 and other relevant standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with customers, suppliers, and co-workers.
• Must have demonstrable organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Practical knowledge of engineering.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to secure and improve the quality management system.
• Leading by example on good documentation practice and other elements of ISO 9001, AS 9100 and ISO 13485.
• Clear and concise reporting about all activities.
• Communicating with suppliers on complaints and returned goods; manage and record return goods requests.
• Performing supplier audits, both initial and regular.
• Managing change requests to and from suppliers including end-of-life situations.
• Producing monthly reports showing defects per month and timing plan for addressing issues.
• Travelling to suppliers to investigate quality problems and conduct audits when required.
