Job summary

Vertical Aerospace in Bristol is seeking a hands-on Supplier Quality Leader to drive supplier quality strategy for growth and certification. You will partner across engineering, procurement, and operations to improve supplier performance and risk management.

With ~10 years in aerospace supplier quality, you will audit suppliers, support NPI/industrialisation, and use 8D/5 Whys/PFMEA to resolve issues. Expect travel across Europe, a collaborative culture, and the chance to impact production

Qualifications

Degree in engineering (or similar) preferred; equivalent practical experience also valued.
Strong experience in supplier quality within aerospace, around 10 years, with AS9100/AS13100 and Part 21G familiarity.
Experience with supplier audits, development, and continuous improvement; use of 8D, 5 Whys, PFMEA.

Responsibilities

Contribute to and implement supplier quality strategy aligned to growth and certification.
Develop and continuously improve supplier quality processes, governance, and standards.
Collaborate across suppliers, engineering, operations and procurement to improve capability and performance across the network.
Monitor supplier quality performance and guide continuous improvement.
Build relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers as a quality partner.
Identify and manage risk with proactive quality planning and issue detection.
Support evolving processes, tools, and governance as the business grows.
