Baker Hughes is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality excellence across the PPS business. You will guide suppliers, lead qualifications, and manage audits to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer flow-down requirements.

The role emphasizes action-oriented problem solving, data-driven decision making, and close collaboration with sourcing, engineering, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality products and value to customers.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing Quality.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and quality improvement tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as focal point for supplier quality activities within the PPS business.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers to ensure compliance with drawings and quality requirements.
• Lead supplier qualification activities and onboarding processes.
• Drive continuous improvement via issue analysis, audits, and corrective actions.
• Support MRB meetings and quality decision-making processes.
• Monitor and report supplier quality KPIs, non-conformities, and COQ.
• Conduct supplier audits, document findings, and drive closure of actions.
• Manage supplier deviation requests and SCAR processes.
• Document first-piece qualifications and approvals in ESQM.
• Collaborate with PPS, sourcing, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
