Job Description:

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a global leader in design and manufacturing in Hertfordshire. As the company is undergoing rapid expansion, they require expertise to transform and strengthen logistics operations to support a growing customer base. This role is a critical 12-month fixed term contract, integral to the company’s ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Qualifications in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field desirable.
  2. Experience in fire safety, aviation or another regulated industry desirable.
  3. Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer or in a similar role.
  4. Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, standards, and methodologies.
  5. Experience with supplier audits and assessments.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  7. Proficiency in using quality management tools and software.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is a plus.

The successful Supplier Quality Engineer in Hertfordshire will have:

  1. Strong background in supply chain and logistics, particularly in warehouse management and lean principles.
  2. Experience in managing and leading teams, with a track record of driving process improvements and operational transformation.
  3. Skilled in setting up and optimising warehouse operations to improve efficiency and scale with growth.
  4. Proven ability to develop structured processes and create high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
  5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional stakeholders.
  6. Analytical mindset, skilled in developing metrics and control reports to support continuous improvement.
  7. Passion for safety and quality, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and efficiency building.
