Job description

Job title:Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Location:Glasgow - On site

Salary: Up to £ 47,000 (depending on skills and experience)

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct product verifications and/or validations at goods receipt locations (Glasgow)
  • Supporting suppliers with Quality Plans (QP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), reviewing the effectiveness of the outputs
  • Support suppliers with their corrective actions and root cause identification, ensuring corrective actions are completed in a timely manner
  • Support and Implementation of Supplier Assurance processes and supporting documentation
  • Measure, collate and analyse supplier data to inform stakeholders of trends and actions required
  • Carry out surveillance activities across the supply chain base to assure our suppliers are achieving contractual requirements and product conformity
  • Travel to supplier sites throughout the UK & Europe conducting pre-delivery verifications work scope depending

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Inspection, verification & validation experience
  • Capable of creating, implementing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans
  • Working experience of Quality Management system requirements (ISO9001:2015) and Defence Standards (DEF STANS)

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Allied Quality Assurance Publications (AQAP), 2105, 2110 & 2210
  • Experience working within a supplier quality environment (verifying T's&C's have been embedded in suppliers QMS)
  • Application of quality tools and techniques

The Supplier Assurance Team:

Join our Supplier Assurance Team at BAE Systems and play a key role in ensuring our global supply chain meets the highest standards of quality assurance and control. In this role, you will support supplier assurance activities, ensuring the seamless transition of controlled product assurance into our T26 shipbuilding programme.

This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team while gaining international experience. You will conduct assurance activities at BAE Systems sites as well as at supplier manufacturing locations worldwide, providing exposure to diverse workplace cultures. Adaptability and collaboration will be essential as you make objective, evidence-based decisions to uphold quality standards.
