Accountabilities
This role is responsible for the quality relationship within external Off-Wing Aftermarket Operations including:
• Support and lead the deployment of the Quality Strategy for the aligned region within the business area to achieve its goals, enhance its reputation and deliver customer satisfaction.
• Support the development and deployment of Quality capability (skills & Knowledge) and culture of the aligned business to meet future regulatory, customer requirements.
• Deploy metrics, key performance indicators to ensure appropriate governance and support is in place within the business to drive Quality performance to meet the requirements, business goals and enhance its reputation.
• To understand relevant law/regulation, customer requirements to support the Aftermarket strategy, support definition and implementation of compliance strategy into the Operating System (including process, culture & leadership, governance & risk) and SABRe.
• In support of the Assurance plan and in partnership with risk owners, provide proactive assurance that regulatory, business and customer requirements will be met.
• To drive change to the Operating System (process, culture & leadership governance and risk) and SABRe to mitigate risks, maximise effectiveness and eliminate cost/waste through insight obtained from proactive assurance and problem themes.
• Protect the business and customer through performing, managing and coaching of problem containment and resolution, to minimise impact and to ensure the necessary corrective and preventative actions are completed and verified in a timely manner.
• Drive Supplier performance using a Zero Defects culture, through use of the Integrated Supplier Scorecard (ISS), conducting Supplier Maturity Assessments (SMA) and utilising Supplier Engagement Plans (SEP) to improve / manage gaps. Gather intelligence and provide analysis of MRO shops' Quality, Safety Management and HSE performance to understand risk and provide an objective basis for taking remedial and improvement actions.
Key Skills
• Qualified to at least degree level or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience within MRO would be desirable and Part 145 knowledge.
• Strong customer focus and stakeholder management.
• Ability to effectively influence and challenge appropriately at all levels.
• Engine Product knowledge would be an advantage.
• Has led projects/activities across a range of Quality processes.
• Competent in improvement and problem solving methodologies, eg; Six Sigma & 8D.
