Job description

Job Title: Contract and Relationship Manager

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain is partnering with a leading Passenger Transport organization to recruit a Contract and Relationship Manager within their evolving Procurement function.

This role involves working across all levels of the business to implement, manage, and develop supply chain relationships and contract management best practices, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry regulations to mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities include auditing suppliers for standards compliance, including Modern Slavery and minimum wage laws, to ensure supply chain integrity and support organizational objectives.

Accountabilities:

1. Develop and support delivery of business requirements related to contract and supplier management.
2. Enhance governance controls and working practices across the supply chain to improve efficiency, value, and compliance.
3. Influence and implement change to achieve financial savings, improved performance, quality, and deliverables.
4. Establish and monitor key metrics aligned with organizational values and KPIs to manage supply chain risks and performance.
5. Collaborate with business units and industry partners to ensure process alignment and improve supply chain communication and data provision.
6. Create training programs and support ongoing development of contract and supplier relationship management practices, incorporating legislative updates like the Procurement Act 23.
7. Integrate contract management and supplier performance into sourcing processes to ensure compliance and maximize procurement value.
8. Operate proactively, leading new initiatives and adapting to changing business needs.
9. Bring high-level experience in supplier and contract management, with a proven track record of implementing strategic improvements.
10. Demonstrate leadership in complex projects, problem-solving, and change management.
11. Possess knowledge of procurement law, including the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016.
12. Experience presenting to and influencing senior management and Board members.
13. Exhibit strong leadership, interpersonal, and people management skills.

This is a hybrid role based in York, Leeds, or Manchester, offering a salary of circa £55,000 - £60,000 plus benefits, including free travel and an excellent pension scheme.
